Dr. Teresa Cargnelli is a chiropractor with a strong foundation in exercise rehabilitation and movement-based care. She holds a Diploma in Kinesiology from Douglas College, a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology, and earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. Before becoming a chiropractor, Teresa worked as a kinesiologist and exercise leader, supporting individuals with chronic pain, orthopedic injuries, and motor vehicle accident recovery. Her approach blends hands-on chiropractic care with individualized exercise programming and education to help patients move better, feel stronger, and build lasting resilience. She utilizes a variety of evidence-informed therapies, including spinal and extremity manipulation, soft tissue techniques, instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy, and cupping.

In addition to her rehabilitation background, Teresa has experience working in sport. She has supported the BC Lions and worked with the Douglas College Royals softball and soccer teams over two seasons, assisting with injury management and return-to-play progression. She also brings experience coaching basketball, further shaping her understanding of athletic development and performance.

Outside of the clinic, Teresa enjoys hiking, strength training, and rucking. She values staying connected with her community and spending time with friends, exploring local spots, and being outdoors with her dog, Ruby.

My passion to help others has led me to this wonderful career in physiotherapy! It is an honor to help my patients achieve their fitness, lifestyle, and rehabilitation goals. I am humbled and inspired by the results I have helped others create and seeing how it affects their lives in a positive way. My treatment approach utilizes my skills in manual therapy, individualized exercise prescription, patient education, and IMS. I firmly believe my role as a Physical Therapist is not just about treating people, but empowering them.

I graduated from the University of British Columbia, completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Biology) and then my Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. I have always had a passion for life long-learning; furthering my education in the Mulligan Concept, Dry Needling certification and the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal diploma program through the orthopaedic Division of Canadian Physiotherapy. I intend to continue learning with courses focused on Fitness athletes, as well as concussion rehab.

Outside of the clinic you can find me paddleboarding, biking, at CrossFit, playing ball hockey, or hiking! One of my passions is traveling and I have trekked through the Andes to Machu Picchu, summited Mount Olympus and Mount Fuji. I look forward to meeting with you, helping you achieve your goals, and empowering you to continue a healthy lifestyle.
